Jingle Cats and ‘Christmas Cats Auction’ Debut at Santa Paws Festival Dec 6 & 7

Cat Care Society, 5787 W. 6th Avenue, will hold its annual "Santa Paws Festival" on Friday, December 6 (noon to 5), and Saturday, December 7 (9 to 4:30).

Jane Dorsey, Cat Care Society Volunteer Coordinator, says "The Santa Paws Festival is a holiday tradition at our cat shelter in Lakewood, and the time when our dedicated volunteers show off their amazing baking skills and wreath making talents to help raise funds for our cat residents and community outreach programs.

New to the Festival this year are Jingle Cats created by CCS volunteers and the ‘Christmas Cats Auction.’ Saturday will be Family Day, with face painting and tree ornament crafting for children (9:30 to 12:30), The Original Dickens Carolers (11 to Noon), plus cat petting and free popcorn all day.”

Jingle Cats are debuting at the Santa Paws Festival this year with a total of 75 darling kitty tchotchkes spray painted ‘pearl mist’ and adorned with red ribbon collars and brass bells. Those spending $100 or more at the Festival will get “pick of the litter” for their ‘free gift’ Jingle Cat, regardless of size. The promotion starts at noon on Friday. Note: Supplies are limited, so the Jingle Cat free offer is first come, first served—limit one per person while supply lasts.
