2010 Year-In-Review

New Column from Denver-based Acupuncturist Dr. Martha Lucas: "Food for Thought About Beauty, Inside And Out"

Quoting from Dr. Martha Lucas' column in the current issue of Acupuncture Today:

"Friedrich Nietzsche said, 'At bottom every man knows well enough that he is a unique being, only once on this earth; and by no extraordinary chance will such a marvelously picturesque piece of diversity in unity as he is, ever be put together a second time.' This doesn't seem very true in our current society where many people are searching for cosmetic procedures outside themselves in order to feel good "at bottom." For some, no matter how many cosmetic procedures they endure, there will be no self-acceptance... Dr. Martha Lucas practices TCM in Denver. She is an internationally known instructor of pulse diagnosis and cosmetic acupuncture as well as the author of Vanity Calamity: Your Guide to Cosmetic Acupuncture for Anti-Aging. She is also a moderator on the Acupuncturetoday.com "Ask an Acupuncturist" forum."

Gotta Love It Food Blogger Dee Long describes Joseph Decuis Soup as a 'A Bowl of Delicious Comfort'

Quoting from Dee's review:

"The first thing you notice about these soups is the intense aroma and pure flavors that seem to just dance on your tongue. What ever variety you choose is sure to satisfy, chock full of fresh farm to table ingredients. Seafood gumbo, Wagyu Beef Chili (from beef raised on their own farms) and New England Clam Chowder were among our favorites (check their website for the 13 available varieties). Pumpkin soup is a seasonal favorite available only through this month."

Fish Farming News: 'Bell Aquaculture on the move: Nation's largest yellow perch farm announces honors, expansion'

Quoting from the article (Issue 4 - 2010 in Fish Farming News - Aquaculture's National Newspaper):

"REDKEY, IN - For those around the industry, Fish Farming News included, who may have been monitoring the much vaunted start-up of Bell Aquaculture here with a degree of skepticism, now's the time for a rethink.

First, it is probably not accurate to call Bell a 'start-up' operation any longer; they've been around since 2005.

Second, while the company's claims of being the country's largest yellow perch farm and its penchant for getting media attention tend to make some folks nervous, the fact is Bell has been making remarkable progress toward achieving its business objectives."
